Vita Björn prison museum

Free activities

When the Crown Prison Vita Björn was closed in 1975, the prison operations in Kastelholm were terminated. For almost 200 years, Vita Björn was used as a prison and jail. Now tourists can visit the prison museum and see how the prisoners lived from the 18th century to 1950. In 1985, the museum was opened to the public and tickets can be purchased outside the building.
