Tullarnas äng

Mariehamn's protected park Tullarnas äng is located on Lilla Holmen, close to both Gröna udden and Lilla Holmen's beach. Tullarnas äng is Mariehamn's most famous and valuable green area, which has existed since 1861. The area was long ago leased for pasture, but over time it has become a valuable nature area. The nature area is rich in bird life and monuments. It also leads a hiking trail through the area to get a glimpse of the whole. Here you can also see an old cannon from Bomarsund fortress.
